1. Each player is limited to making a maximum of 51 steps.
2. If a player places their pieces on another player's seat when the game ends, they will be penalized with a deduction of 8 points.

Chinese Checkers is a modernized and simplified variation of Halma. It is a board game that can be played by two, three, four, or six people either individually or with partners. The objective of the game is to be the first to race one's pieces across the hexagram-shaped game board into their designated "home" corner – which is located at the corner of the star opposite their starting corner. Single-step moves or jumps over other pieces are used to advance. The remaining players continue playing to establish 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and last place finishers. While the game involves some strategy, it is also enjoyable for young children.

A basic strategy in Chinese Checkers is to find the longest hopping path that leads closest to or directly into the "home" destination corner. Multiple-jump moves are faster for relocating pieces compared to step-by-step moves. Advanced strategy involves hindering opponents while helping oneself find jumps across the board. Equally important is each player's approach to emptying and filling their starting and home corners. Games between experts are often decided by only a few moves.

Different numbers of players result in different game layouts, each requiring its own best-game strategy. For instance, if a player's "home" corner is empty (not occupied by an opponent), they can freely arrange their pieces to create a 'ladder' or 'bridge' between the two opposite ends of the board. However, if a player's opponent occupies their home destination corner, it might be more advantageous for the player to adopt a "waiting game" strategy until all pieces have moved out of that corner.
